Account Sign-In and Membership Plan
1. Go to EngineEars.com and Sign In to your Studio account
2. If you are prompted, make sure you verify your email address and also verify your phone number to secure your account.
3. After logging in, if you haven't chosen a Membership Plan for your account yet, you will be asked to pick one. You can get started for FREE by picking the Essentials Plan.
TIP: If you upgrade to the Platinum Plan, you will pay 0% service fees on all session bookings and receive a ton of additional benefits.
Get Started with Studio Account Set Up
1. Create your Studio Profile and fill in the pertinent details about your studio facility
2. Make sure you Link your Google Calendar to your Studio Profile. This ensures that your studio's availability is always up-to-date, and that session bookings added/modified/canceled through the EngineEars platform are seamlessly synced to your Google Calendar as calendar events.
3. Next, Invite your Teammates and/or Affiliated Engineers to join your Studio Team on the EngineEars platform so you can coordinate scheduling, room assignments, manage multiple session bookings and varying rates simultaneously.
Note: You can skip this Studio Team invitation step if there are no other engineers that record in your studio besides yourself.
TIPS:
- After invitations are sent to your Teammates and/or Affiliate Engineers, make sure you provide them these instructions on how to accept the Studio Team invitation.
- Each Affiliate Engineer that joins your Studio Team is required to Add a Recording Service Package to their profile after accepting the studio invitation. This allows the Affiliate Engineer to be booked for recording sessions with your studio room, based on their own set hourly rates and schedule.
4. Then Add a Studio Room to your Studio Profile, and also Add a Studio Room Rate. This allows you to customize your session booking parameters, hourly rates, and scheduling preferences so you can start accepting client bookings for your studio room!
5. Do you personally provide recording services at your studio and/or travel to record at other locations? If yes, then Add a Recording Service Package to your own Engineer Profile so that you can get recording sessions booked based on your own set hourly rates and schedule.
Note: If you don't personally provide recording services, you can skip this step to add a Recording Service Package.
6. Now you can Generate Session Booking Links to share with your existing clients so you can easily collect deposits, automate invoices/receipts, and manage ALL your upcoming sessions on EngineEars.
🎉 Congrats you’ve completed your Studio account set up!
Advanced Settings for Studio Set Up
After you have completed your Studio account set up, you may want to consider how to customize advanced settings to optimize the way your studio works best for you.
Navigate to your Studio Profile and edit your studio. At the bottom, you will find these settings:
-
Allow studio bookings without an audio engineer: This option allows clients to book your Studio's room without requiring a recording engineer for the session. This setting is OFF by default.
- Turn this ON, if you typically allow clients to book session time at your studio without booking an engineer
- Turn this OFF, if you require clients to book an engineer with every booked session at your studio
-
Allow your affiliated engineers to generate studio booking links: By enabling this, your Studio's Affiliated Engineers can Generate Session Booking links to create and share session bookings with clients. As the Studio Manager, you will just need to approve the session booking details once each booking is submitted. This setting is OFF by default.
- Turn this ON, if you have multiple teammates and Affiliate Engineers on your Studio Team that records out of your studio.
- Turn this OFF, if there are no other engineers that record in your studio besides yourself.
- Recording engineers are included in the room price for all sessions: By enabling this, when a client books a studio session or when a session booking link is generated, the room price for the session will automatically include a recording engineer for the booked session. This setting is OFF by default.
- Turn this ON, if you typically combine the total for Studio Room price with the Recording Engineer's rate for session bookings
- Turn this OFF, if you typically separate the Studio Room price from the Recording Engineer's rate for session bookings
