EngineEars has partnered with Stripe in order to seamlessly pay all service providers as projects and sessions are completed. Additionally, all tax documents are delivered to you through Stripe.
Setup and connect your account with Stripe by following the relevant steps below.
To modify your Stripe setup or resolve issues, refer to these steps below.
U.S. Stripe Setup Steps
1. Setup Stripe
After you've successfully signed up and created your account, you'll be taken to the "Let's Get You Paid" screen, where you'll be prompted to set up your Stripe account.
Click "Set up Stripe" and you will be taken to the Stripe portal.
2. Enter Your Email Address & Phone Number
If you already have a Stripe account and want to receive payouts through it, use the same email. If you don’t have a Stripe account, create one using the primary email address you used to sign into your EngineEars account.
2. Verify Your Phone Number
Enter the verification code sent to your phone number.
3. Choose Your Business Type
You have three options to choose from for Business Types. If you're unsure which one to select, refer to this support article on how to determine your Business Type and Structure!
⚠️ Once you've selected a business type and click continue, you won't be able to change your business type without having stripe reset your account.
- Individual
When setting up as an Individual, you will need to provide some personal information: Your first and last name, your date of birth, the last 4 of your social security number, your phone number, and use your EngineEars.com profile as your website for the Stripe account. Next you will need a form of identification. Make sure that all fields are filled, wait for the verification of your details then you will be able to agree and submit!
- Company
If you filed documentation to register your business with a government agency. Your Business Type is likely to be Company, and your Business Structure would depend on the specific documents you filed.
- Non-Profit Organization
If you have incorporated your legal entity and are a registered nonprofit or charity, your Business Type is likely to be Nonprofit organization.

4. Agree & Submit
Make sure that all fields are filled, wait for the verification of your details then you will be able to agree and submit!
5. Congrats! You're setup to receive payments on EngineEars!
Once you reach Step 2, it means you've successfully set up Stripe, and you can now proceed to select your membership!
International Stripe Setup Steps
For members outside the U.S., your first step in setting up Stripe is to select your Country of Residence before proceeding.
1. Setup Stripe
After successfully signing up and creating your account, you'll be directed to the "Let's Get You Paid" screen, where you'll be prompted to set up your Stripe account.
Click the dropdown menu to select your Country of Residence, then click "Set up Stripe." You'll be redirected to the Stripe portal specific to your country.
2. Acceptable verification documents by country
Click Here to learn which documents Stripe accepts for verification of identity, address, and legal entity. Have all your documentation with you in order to finalize your stripe setup.
How To Update Your Stripe?
If you need to update your personal, payout, and professional account details, you'll find the option to do so in the 'Settings' tab located in the dropdown menu.
- Settings : Go to the Settings tab from your dashboard.
2. Manage Payments :
Select 'Manage Stripe Setup' button to be redirected to Stripe to begin updating your Stripe details.
3. Update Payout Information
Once all information is updated, you will see a confirmation message in your Settings tab indicating that your Stripe setup is complete. After you click the 'Confirm' button, you can click on 'Return to EngineEars' link to return to the EngineEars platform.
Troubleshooting Stripe Setup
If you encounter issues, double-check that all information is correctly entered. Missing details will cause the setup to restart, so ensure each section is completed before proceeding.
