How do I Generate a Booking Link?

The generate booking link is the feature that will give you the least friction when booking with your client. Here you can customize your booking, including taking on client fees and overriding the final price, all in a shareable link.

Consolidate your existing business or in progress projects onto the EngineEars platform by streamlining how you offer and price your services, collect payment, manage projects and/or complete sessions.

Generated Booking links allow you to book and start new projects with your existing clientele, as well as invoice in-progress projects you're already working on with clients outside of EngineEars.

The generated booking link allows your clients to transparently see the order and pricing details of your service(s) provided, and gives them a direct way to conveniently pay for the project. Afterwards, the rest of the project collaboration can take place on the platform.

1. Generate Booking

From your Dashboard, click the 'Generate Booking' button in the upper right corner of the page.

In-Progress Projects

An additional option when generating a booking link is the 'In-progress' option. This allows you to create a client project to be completed via EngineEars even though it may have already begun off the platform. This feature enables you to seamlessly invoice your client only when they access the completed project deliverables on the platform.

1. When creating a Generated Booking link, turn this toggle ON if your project is already in progress. You will need to specify the client's permissions for the project by selecting a paywall option. This ensures that your client must submit payment before getting access to your finished project deliverables.

Paywall options:

  • Mix/master playback not allowed without payment
    • This means the client must first pay the invoice in order to listen to the uploaded mix/master in the project player
  • Mix/master playback allowed before payment
    • This means the client must first pay the invoice in order to request any revisions to the uploaded mix/master in the project
  • Reviews and revisions allowed before payment
    • This means the client must first pay the invoice in order to download asset files for the approved mix/master after you have uploaded the final deliverables

After selecting a paywall option, click the "Start Project" button. This will create a "Not funded" project in your Bookings.

2. When you've finished your mix or master for your client, upload the finished files to the "Not funded" project, and click “share to client” to send them a project link.

3. When your client visits the project link you've shared, they will be prompted to pay the invoice at your chosen paywall step e.g. before they can listen to the finished mix/master, before they can request revisions to the finished mix/master, or before they can download final asset files for the approved mix/master. Once the client has submitted payment, they will be able to proceed with accessing the project's deliverables.

NOTE: the below images show the client's point of view when accessing the project link you've shared.

This In-Progress project feature enables you to complete your mix/master projects without burdening your client with extra steps. Your clients get involved only at the final review or download stage and are invoiced then. This preserves the way you've previously worked with your clientele while ensuring you get paid for your completed work, a fair exchange for both parties.

🌟 TIP: Invite your existing clients/projects over to the EngineEars platform using this In-Progress project feature. Have your clients pay only when they need to review or access project deliverables for your mixes and masters. This allows you to easily and quickly complete the required minimum projects to be eligible for Verification

Share Your Booking Link

Once all details have been filled out you can click the 'Share this Booking' button. By sharing the generated booking with your client, they will be able to see the specific order and pricing details for the services you're providing and have a convenient way to pay for the project

To share the booking, you can click the 'Copy Link' button to copy the link and paste it to send to your client directly.

Or you can email your client straight from the booking window by entering email addresses. Your client will receive an email from EngineEars with a direct link to this booking to review its details and submit payment.

🌟 TIP: Use these resources to help you introduce the benefits of the EngineEars platform to your clientele when sharing booking links.

When inviting clients to collaborate differently than they might be used to, it's always helpful to manage their expectations and highlight what they gain as well.
