Booking with a partial payment/deposit allows you to go through a project with paying a portion of the total up front.
Currently, Partial Payments/Deposits are a setting that must be turned on by your engineer in their service settings for it to be available upon booking.
1. Engineer Opt-In
This feature can be turned on or off per service. So, if they want it enabled on mastering but not mixing they can do that.
Permissions
Once turning this feature on, there will be a drop down menu for the engineer to choose the permissions level they wish to give the artist. There are 3 options:
Mix/Master playback not allowed without payment
Artist will not be able to play the mix or master until they pay the remaining balance.
Mix/Master allowed before payment
Artist will be able to play the mix or master before they complete payment.
Reviews and revisions allowed before payment
Artist can review the mix or master and request revisions before final payment.
2. Booking
Click 'Book Now' on the service package you wish to pay for from your engineer.
Fill out all necessary details like scheduled release date, service type, alts, etc.
Once everything looks right click 'Check Out'. This will bring you to payment options.
3. Payment Options
When the payment options pop up, you will notice and orange button at the bottom to 'Check Out' at full price and a white button that say 'Pay $x Now, and $x Later'.
Click this button to pay the specified deposit to begin the project and pay the remainder upon completion.
