How to Distribute & Monetize Your Music on SoundCloud with EngineEars

By default, EngineEars does not distribute releases to SoundCloud as part of our standard distribution pipeline. However, you can still upload your music to SoundCloud yourself and have it monetized through EngineEars.

SoundCloud works a little differently from other DSPs. EngineEars does not upload your release directly to your SoundCloud profile.

Before uploading your music yourself, your SoundCloud profile must first be whitelisted so your release is not flagged for copyright.

Step 1: Request SoundCloud Whitelisting

From your release page in EngineEars, submit a request to have your SoundCloud profile whitelisted.

Once submitted, our Support Team will process the request. Whitelisting typically takes no more than 72 hours.

Do not upload the release to SoundCloud until you receive confirmation from Support that your profile has been successfully whitelisted.

Step 2: Upload Your Release to SoundCloud

After your profile is whitelisted, upload the release directly to your own SoundCloud profile.

Step 3: Request Monetization

Once the release is live on SoundCloud, reply to the same Support agent with the public SoundCloud link to the track.

Our team will then submit a request to have monetization enabled for that release.

Quick Recap

  1. Request SoundCloud profile whitelisting from your EngineEars release page. (steps outlined befow)
  2. Wait for confirmation from Support that your profile is whitelisted.
  3. Upload the release directly to your SoundCloud profile.
  4. Send the live SoundCloud link back to Support.
  5. We’ll request monetization for the release.

Important: Your SoundCloud profile must be whitelisted before you upload your release to help prevent copyright flags.
