Can I Collect Publishing for This Track?

How the per-track publishing toggle works and how it differs from streaming and master splits.

In the Credits tab of the Song Details panel, each credited songwriter has a toggle: "Do you want to collect your publishing for this release?"

  • This refers to the songwriting and publishing split, the writers' share of the composition. It's separate from the streaming and master revenue split you set for the release as a whole in Manage Splits.
  • Enabling this toggle opts that credit into EngineEars Publishing, which registers the composition with collection societies so mechanical and performance royalties owed to the songwriter can be collected.
  • This is optional and can be enabled or left off independently for each credited songwriter on the track.

Always check with the contributor first. Before enabling publishing collection on behalf of a co-writer or other credited contributor, confirm with them directly that they want EngineEars to collect their publishing. Don't opt someone in without their knowledge or agreement.
