What Is a Track Pre-Release Date?

A Track Pre-Release Date lets you set an earlier release date for an individual song than the release date for the project as a whole. Set a release date if this track comes out before the full project, it becomes available during the pre-order if one is set.

  • This is useful if you want to release a single ahead of a full EP or album, giving that track its own moment before the rest of the project follows.
  • It's found under Add optional details in the Song Details panel, separate from the overall release date you set in Release Information.
  • The date and time you enter are based on the time zone shown next to the field (for example, America/Los Angeles).
  • If you don't set a track pre-release date, the track will simply go live on your release's standard release date along with the rest of the project.
