Upload Dolby Atmos files to your release to distribute spatial audio formats in your release to streaming platforms
Streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Tidal provide support for spatial audio formats like Dolby Atmos for enhanced listening experiences beyond the standard stereo format.
When you upload a Dolby Atmos format of your song to your release, supported devices on streaming platforms and/or digital stores will be able to play this spatial audio format.
Notes:
- EngineEars Distribution: the Streaming Releases feature is currently in PRIVATE BETA. This means that the feature may not be accessible to everyone at this time.
- You must create and submit your Streaming Release in stereo format to be distributed to streaming platforms before you can upload Dolby Atmos format as a related release.
Prerequisite
Follow these steps to: Create a Streaming Release or Create a Combined Release (Sell Direct and Streaming Release) in stereo format, then submit it.
How to create a Dolby Atmos Release
1. Once your stereo format release has been submitted (see Prerequisite), return to the Releases Table to locate your submitted release. Then click on the 3-dot menu for the stereo release, and select the "Add Dolby Atmos" option.

2. In the confirmation modal, you will be asked to confirm if you want to duplicate the stereo release so that you can upload Dolby Atmos format. Click "Yes" to proceed.
This will create a release product that duplicates your submitted stereo release, with the identical metadata details for use with your Dolby Atmos upload.

3. In the Release Details (Step 1) screen, confirm the duplicated details for your Dolby Atmos release, then click the "next" button.
4. In the Add Songs (Step 2) screen, confirm the duplicated tracks for your Dolby Atmos release.

5. Click "Edit Track" to view/confirm the Track Details in the right side-panel for each track in the release. All the metadata details for each track are duplicated from the stereo format of the corresponding track.
Note: Each Dolby track will have a new generated ISRC code. However, the originating audio ISRC field will be automatically populated with the ISRC code from the duplicated stereo track, mapping the Dolby Atmos version to the Stereo version of the song.

6. Click the "Add Track" button for each track to upload the Dolby Atmos format audio WAV file for the track. Make sure the correct file and format is uploaded to match the right track, and that the uploaded file adheres to Dolby Atmos file specifications (see below).

Note: This does not override the stereo file format of your previously submitted tracks, rather, it allows you to upload an additional Dolby Atmos file format in a separate identical Dolby release to accompany the stereo format of your submitted track (while maintaining all other metadata details of the song identical).
7. Once every track in the release has their corresponding Dolby Atmos file uploaded to it, click the "next" button to proceed.
8. [Optional] Review and/or modify any changes on the Collaborator Splits (Step 3) screen for your Dolby Atmos release.
9. [Optional] Review and/or modify any changes to the Configure Direct Sales (Step 4) screen for your Dolby Atmos release (where applicable). If you're submitting a combined streaming and direct sales release, you can review and edit the details for this step. If you're submitting a streaming release, you can skip this step.
10. Review and accept the terms in the Disclaimers (Step 5) screen for your Dolby Atmos release, then click the "submit" button to submit your Dolby Release.
Once your submitted Dolby Atmos release finishes the review process and is approved, it will be sent to streaming platforms and services, accompanying your submitted stereo format release.
