Review the performance of your releases to streaming platforms and digital stores
After your Streaming release distributed via EngineEars has gone live on streaming platforms and/or digital stores, you can review its data after the release date to evaluate the counts of your streams, and playbacks.
Here are the steps to view your release performance.
1. Go to your Dashboard. Make sure you are viewing your "Artist" dashboard by clicking the dropdown menu under your user name.
2. Locate the Artist Performance section. Then click the "Stream Counts" button. In the performance chart, you can see a summary of the performance of your release, showing the aggregate count of streams for each day.
3. You can use the filters to hone in on a specific timeframe, streaming platform, country, or release.
4. To have a larger view of the performance charts, you can click on the right-arrow icon to expand the view into the right panel.
Notes:
- Streaming metrics/counts are updated on a daily basis (up through yesterday) as the data is received from the corresponding streaming platforms and stores. Performance metrics are surfaced as soon as they are made available to EngineEars, which can vary by the reporting schedule of the streaming platform or store that supplies the data.
- At the moment, streaming performance is limited to these metrics mentioned above. More detailed streaming analytics will be added in the future.
- Streaming counts help you understand how often your release is being played, streamed, listened to or purchased, as determined by the platform or store. These metrics do not represent royalty earnings payouts for your streams.
If you don't see any streaming stats yet, please check the status of your release to ensure there are no issues with its submission to streaming services and/or stores preventing it from going live.
Tips: If your release is live on streaming platforms and stores but the streaming stats are lower than expected, you may want to consider promoting your release to attract more fans and listeners. Here are some ideas to consider:
- Are you posting regularly on your social media to announce your release and raise awareness to your followers/friends? Try downloading a promo asset and posting it on socials. Here are some tips on posting on TikTok.
- Have you asked your community (e.g. family, friends, producer, songwriter) to help you promote your release? Try asking them to post about (or re-post your original post) on socials, or tagging your collaborators. Here are some tips to boost your social following.
- Have you asked your audio engineers (recording engineer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer, Dolby Atmos engineer) who worked on the music to help promote the release? Try posting on socials and tagging your collaborators so they can share it on their networks also. Here are some tips on social media marketing.
- Have you run a social media ad campaign to reach more audiences beyond your own followers? Here are some tips to increase exposure to new fans/listeners.
- Have you posted your new release on your EngineEars profile page?

- Have you reached out to playlists, music blogs, social channels, radio stations, record labels to promote yourself? Here are tips on building your brand.
If you are an indie artist, you might want to consider your own PR efforts and promotional marketing tactics. To increase the chances of your music getting discovered, you need to get the word out and create hype so that new listeners can be exposed to your sound.
