How Do I Submit My Release for Billboard Chart Eligibility?

How to enable Luminate reporting in the Additional Delivery, Reporting & Collections section so your release's sales and streaming data counts toward Billboard chart eligibility.

Billboard charts are compiled using sales and streaming data reported by Luminate, the official data provider Billboard uses to track music consumption.

To make your release eligible for Billboard chart consideration:

  • In the Release Details step, find the Additional Delivery, Reporting & Collections section.
  • Enable Report fan sales & streams to Luminate.

Once enabled, your release's direct sales and streaming activity will be reported to Luminate, which is the data source Billboard pulls from to determine chart rankings. Enabling this does not guarantee a chart placement, actual chart position depends on your release's sales and streaming performance, but reporting is required for your numbers to even be counted toward chart eligibility in the first place.
