How Do I Add or Remap Songs on TikTok?

If your music is already distributed to TikTok but is either: Missing from your TikTok Music Tab, or Appearing under the wrong artist profile, TikTok requires artists to submit mapping or remapping requests directly through TikTok for Artists.

Adding Songs to Your TikTok Music Tab

Option 1: Use the In-App “Add Music” Tool

  1. Open TikTok and go to your artist profile.
  2. Navigate to your Music Tab.
  3. Look for the “Add Music” or “Report” option.
  4. Submit a request to add your missing songs.

TikTok has a native request form specifically for:

  • “Add songs to the music tab”

This is currently the fastest and most effective way to request music mapping on TikTok.

If Your Song Is Mapped to the Wrong Artist Profile

In some cases, TikTok may accidentally place your release under another artist’s profile if the artist names are similar.

Important

TikTok’s current claiming process is profile-based, not song-based. This means:

  • You cannot directly claim only a single song.
  • TikTok may ask you to temporarily claim the incorrect artist profile in order to report the issue.

How to Request a Remap

Step 1: Access TikTok for Artists

Log into your TikTok for Artists account or use the in-app support tools.

Step 2: Locate the Incorrect Release

Find the song that is appearing under the wrong artist profile.

Step 3: Submit a Support Request

Use the “Report” or support option and clearly explain:

  • Your song is mapped to the wrong artist profile
  • You are requesting a remap to your correct artist page
  • You are not attempting to claim ownership of the other artist’s catalog

Step 4: Include Helpful Information

To speed up the process, include:

  • Song title
  • UPC
  • ISRC
  • Your correct TikTok artist profile
  • Link to the incorrect profile
  • Release date
  • Distributor name

What to Expect

  • TikTok reviews these requests manually.
  • Processing times can vary.
  • Temporary profile claims do not automatically resolve the issue. A remapping request still needs to be reviewed by TikTok support.

  • Your music must already be delivered and live on TikTok before it can be mapped or remapped.
  • TikTok handles all Music Tab mapping directly.
  • Similar artist names can occasionally cause automatic profile mismatches across DSPs and social platforms.
