EngineEars Intro to Avid Pro Tools Course
EngineEars has created an Introduction to Avid Pro Tools course that consists of 40 hours of self-training, provided by the EngineEars School of Music, followed by a half day online practical, or in-person session, to answer any questions and set you up for your final exam.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Access to a CPU with at least 8GB RAM and at least 512GB of storage space on the OS drive for content storage.
2. An Avid account to download the software.
3. Avid Pro Tools software (30 day Trial - Link Provided by EngineEars)
4. An iLok Account for the Avid Pro Tools Software.
5. Headphones or monitor speakers. (This will be for your time in the Pro Tools curriculum and used for the practical with the instructor and used for your final exam.)
Course Overview:
The curriculum, developed in part with The Dolby Institute, is a 50+ hour course preparing engineers for future sound demands. It includes:
- 30 hours of self-training on Teachable
- 4 hours of virtual training with an industry professional
- 10 chapters of written literature with quizzes
