How do I Edit or Update a Generated Booking Link?

After you generate a booking link, you can optionally modify and update the details of the generated booking link

If you need to make edits, modifications or changes to the details of an existing generated booking link, you can do so by following these steps.

1. Click "Bookings" in main navigation

2. On the My Bookings Page, click the Links tab

3. If you want to edit booking links for projects, make sure the toggle is set to "projects". If you want to edit booking links for sessions, make sure the toggle is set to "sessions".

4. Locate the booking link you want to edit, then click the "Edit" button

5. You will be asked to confirm if you'd like to make changes, if you want to proceed with changes click "confirm", otherwise click "cancel"

6. If you clicked "confirm", you will be able to view the details of the booking. Make any desired changes to the booking (e.g. change the quantity, add add-ons like mastering or alts, modify price, discounts/price override, taking on client fees, add/update custom line items, change estimated delivery date or location etc)

Example: Before Engineer/Studio Manager makes changes to the booking

Example: After Engineer/Studio Manager makes changes to the booking (quantity, price, alts, discount)

Important Notes:

  • Generated Booking Links for projects/sessions can only be modified as long as the client has not completed payment yet. If the project/session booking has already been paid, the booking link cannot be modified. Instead cancel the project/session and/or create a separate new generated booking to reflect the desired changes.
  • Any edits/changes made to the unpaid booking link (even before clicking "Open Project" button) will be immediately applied to the project or session. If the booking link has already been shared with your client, they will observe the changes right away via the shared link.
  • Be mindful that project progress may be reverted or lost depending on the changes made to the booking link. For instance, if the original booking was for 3 full-stems mixes that are all in review stage, and the booking link was updated to remove 2 of the tracks, the remaining 1 track on the project may be reverted back to the prior File Transfer or Mix in Progress stage.
  • It is highly recommended that you openly communicate with your client about the forthcoming changes before making the updates to the booking link to avoid any unexpected surprises or disputes

7. Click the "Open Project" button when done making changes to view the updated project/session details
