How do I duplicate a release?

Steps to duplicate a release and copy its details

Duplicate a Release

1. Login to your existing Artist account on EngineEars.com

2. In the navigation menu or the profile dropdown menu, click to go to the My Music page.

3. Once on the My Music page, make sure you're in the Releases tab. Then locate the specific release you want to duplicate.

To duplicate a release, click the 3-dot menu, then select the "Duplicate Release" option.

You will be asked to confirm your intent to duplicate the release. Once you confirm by clicking the "Yes" button, your release will be duplicated.

Once your release has been successfully duplicated, you can modify its details before submitting it.

Notes:

  • When you duplicate an existing release, all of the details about the release, artists, track details, credits, cover art, song files, and/or pricing details for direct sales will be copied over to the newly duplicated release
  • When you duplicate an existing release, the UPC/EAN and the ISRCs for the song files in the release will not be copied over to the newly duplicated release. New UPC/EAN codes and new ISRC codes are auto-generated in the newly duplicated release.
    • If you need to re-use the same ISRC codes from the prior existing release, you can Edit Track Details for each song, and replace the auto-generated ISRC codes with the original ISRC codes from the prior release.
    • When duplicating a release for streaming distribution where the original release was already distributed live, you cannot re-use the same UPC/EAN code for the duplicate release. The duplicate release is considered a new product by streaming platforms and digital stores, and therefore requires a unique new UPC/EAN code.
  • When you duplicate an existing release, the Collaborator Splits details will not be copied over to the newly duplicated release. New Collaborator Splits will need to be added in the newly duplicated release.
