Do My Songs Stay Live If I Cancel My Subscription?
Yes, your music will remain live on DSPs even if you cancel or miss your EngineEars subscription. Here’s exactly how it works:
✅ What Happens After You Cancel
If you cancel your membership:
- Your existing releases stay live on all platforms they were delivered to
- Your music continues to stream and generate revenue
- You’ll still receive payouts through Stripe
There is no automatic takedown of your music when your subscription ends.
⚠️ Revenue Share After Cancellation
Once your membership expires and is not renewed:
- EngineEars will take a 15% revenue share on earnings from your releases
If you maintain an active subscription, you keep 100% of your earnings (excluding standard Stripe processing fees).
⚠️ What You Lose Access To
After canceling, you will no longer be able to:
- Upload new releases
- Make edits or updates to existing releases (metadata, artwork, etc.)
- Access certain distribution tools and features
🔄 If You Want Full Access Again
To:
- Upload new music
- Edit releases
- Keep 100% of your earnings
You’ll need to reactivate your subscription.
🚨 When Would Music Be Taken Down?
Your music will only be removed if:
- You request a takedown, or
- There is a copyright or policy issue
Otherwise, your catalog stays live and continues generating revenue.
💡 Summary
- Your music stays live after canceling
- You can still earn and get paid out
- A 15% revenue share applies if your membership is inactive
- You’ll need to resubscribe for full control and 100% earnings
