Can I Change The Label Name Showing “+ Distributed by EngineEars”?

You may notice your release displays as:

Your Label Name + Distributed by EngineEars

Why this happens:

  • This is standard for distribution platforms and indicates the distributor of the release

  • It does not affect your ownership or rights

Can This Be Removed?

This can be customized and removed or replaced. Just submit a support ticket and let us know which release you'd like us to remove it from.

    • Project Name

    • Release Title

    • UPC 

How does YouTube Content ID work?

YouTube Content ID will automatically flag anyone who attempts to upload or distribute your copyrighted music without authorization. This feature is included in your subscription.

Do you use artist content to train AI?

No. We do not train AI using catalog works and we do not use any artist content for AI purposes.

Do you accept cover songs?

Yes, we accept cover songs as long as you have secured the proper mechanical license.

Mechanical licenses are handled outside of EngineEars.

If you have not signed up with The Mechanical Licensing Collective, we strongly recommend doing so to collect mechanical royalties within the United States.

How to Get Your Dolby Atmos Version & Get the Apple Music Atmos Badge

If you’ve already released your song and want to upload a Dolby Atmos version so it shows the Dolby Atmos badge on Apple Music, follow the steps below.

What You Need

Before reaching out, make sure you have:

  • Your Dolby Atmos master file(s) (ADM BWF format)

  • The UPC of your original release

  • Confirmation that your stereo version is already live

How It Works

At this time, Dolby Atmos versions are not uploaded directly through your dashboard. Our team handles this for you to ensure everything maps correctly to your existing release.

Steps to Submit Your Atmos Version

  1. Prepare your Dolby Atmos master file(s)

  2. Locate your release UPC

  3. Submit a request through support:

  4. Include the following in your message:

    • Project Name

    • Release Title

    • UPC

    • Dolby Atmos file(s) via dropbox / wetransfer..etc

 What Happens Next

  • Our team will attach the Atmos version to your existing release

  • Once processed, Apple Music will display the Dolby Atmos badge on your project (if all specs are met)

Do you support Apple Motion Artwork?

Yes. We accept Apple Motion artwork.

Please submit a support ticket including:

  • Project name

  • UPC

  • Apple Motion Art file

The file must meet Apple’s official specifications.

Will YouTube merge views if I re-upload a song?

No. YouTube does not merge views on re-uploads.

Can you guarantee placement on Delta Airlines?

All products delivered to Delta Airlines are subject to the final editorial discretion of Delta’s curation team. Placement is not guaranteed.

How do I create a waterfall release?

For a waterfall release:

  1. Create a new release.

  2. Add both the previously released track and the new track.

  3. Use the original ISRC for the previously released track.

At the album level, you can title the project however you’d like. Common formats include:

  • “Song A / Song B”

  • “Song A or Song B”

  • Or another custom title

Can I claim my artist profiles before my first release goes live?

Yes.

If this is your first release and you'd like to claim your artist profiles ahead of time, submit a support ticket with:

  • Project name

  • UPC

We can provide the profile URLs so you can claim them in advance.

How do I fix my Amazon Music artist profile?

Amazon requires remappings to be completed directly by the artist through Amazon Music for Artists.

Do you distribute to Mainland China?

Yes. We distribute to Mainland China and can accommodate Chinese characters in metadata.

Can you request an Official Artist Channel (OAC) on YouTube?

Yes. We can request an Official Artist Channel (OAC) on your behalf and merge it with your existing YouTube channel.

Please provide:

  • Topic Channel URL

  • Personally operated Channel URL

How do I get time-synced lyrics on Spotify, Apple Music, and Instagram?

Time-synced lyrics are available through Musixmatch.

Create an account with Musixmatch to upload and sync your lyrics. Once approved, they can appear on platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, Instagram, and others.

Will my music appear in the TikTok Music Library?

Yes. Your music will automatically appear in your TikTok music tab if you are already registered as an artist on TikTok.

If you are not signed up, you must complete TikTok’s artist certification process here (mobile only):

Once certified, your distributed music will populate in your TikTok artist profile.
