Apple Music Motion Artwork Support via EngineEars

Apple Music Motion Artwork Submission EngineEars can assist with Apple Music Motion Artwork submissions for eligible releases. Motion Artwork allows animated album visuals to appear on Apple Music album pages. Before submitting, your files must meet Apple’s technical delivery requirements exactly.

Required Deliverables

Apple requires two separate motion files:

1. Album Page Motion 1x1

  • Resolution: 3840 × 3840 px
  • File Name: Album Page Motion 1x1

2. Album Page Motion 3x4

  • Resolution: 2048 × 2732 px
  • File Name: Album Page Motion 3x4

Technical Specifications

  • File Type: .mov
  • Codec: Apple ProRes 4444, 422, 422 HQ, or 422 LT
  • Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels (1:1)
  • Frame Rate: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, or 30 fps
  • Color Profile: Rec 709 or sRGB
  • Audio: No audio track included
  • Length: 15–35 seconds

Submission Process 

Motion artwork submissions are currently handled manually through support > Submit Support Ticket Here

To request a submission, artists should provide:

  • Project title
  • UPC
  • Both motion artwork files (via dropbox, google drive, wetransfer..etc)
  • Confirmation that files meet Apple specifications

Once submitted, our team reviews the assets before forwarding them for Apple Music consideration.

Approval Process

Please note:

  • Submission does not guarantee approval
  • Apple performs final review and approval
  • Artwork may be rejected if it does not meet technical or content guidelines
